Show 3409 Nims- C 1432 Q When you got up to that road you went from there on a good road up to Milford, didn't you? A Yes sir. Q What is that? A Yes sir. Q Did that on your first expedition? A That was on the first expedition. Q The purpose of your second expedition was to continue the survey? A Yes sir. Q And you wanted to get down to where you had brought your work to, that is, to this point a few miles below Lees Ferry, and continue the survey from there on down? A Yes sir. Q That was the sole purpose of the second expedition? A As I understood it. Q Now, in view of the very bad road from Greenriver to North wash, and if there were any difficulties or dangers incident to the trip on the river from there on down to Lees Ferry, I wish you would explain to the Special Master why, on your second expedition, you did not take your boat to Milford and thence to Lees Ferry over a good road, and avoid all of the bad road from Greenriver to North wash, and avoid any dangers of the river from North wash to Lees Ferry? |
