Show Crabbe, Allen, Wilson, Evans, Howe, Olson, Powelson TENNIS I In smaller-group competition, tennis holds sway as the most popular of athletic events. Registration in both singles and doubles competition was heavier than usual this year. ? Scores of competitors were kept on a point basis, ten points being awarded to the winner of each tennis match. The sorority group having the most points at the end of the fall quarter tournament was that of Chi Omega. The unaffiliated winners were the Viking members. BASKETBALL ? As is usually the case, again this year the enrollment of women students in athletic events was heavier in the field of basketball than in any other activity. ? Although, of course, not up to the speed of men players, the girls played good, fast basketball all the way through the competition and, for the third consecutive year, the team of the Delta Zeta Sorority was victorious in the group of affiliated players. The X Club was successful in the unaffiliated competition. Hickman Leaver Peters Kephart Neff Leach Two Hundred Twenty |
