Show Woodland Sorensen W. A. A. DANCE DRAMA I The goal of the Women's Athletic Association, which is the participation of every University woman in some athletic event, has been very nearly reached this year. The intramural tournaments of popular sports sponsored by the association have had the largest enrollment of group and individual competitors ever recorded at the university. ? The management of the organization has been in the enthusiastic and capable hands of Mrs. Alice Oakes Bronson, faculty advisor, Shelah Woodland, president; Edith Clayton, vice-president; and Lois Sorensen, secretary-treasurer. 'The The recent spring dance-drama of the University of Utah chapter of Orchesis, national dance sorority, has brought about a truer appreciation and greater interest in the organization of Orchesis. ? The requirements for membership in Orchesis are many and insure the high quality of those admitted. Preparatory to admission into Senior Orchesis, tests of rhythm, body balance, and fundamentals must be passed and two original dances composed and executed. ? Miss Myrtle Clancy is faculty advisor to the sorority, Margaret Stagg, president, and Lois Sorensen, treasurer. Two Hundred Eighteen |
