The duties of the sponsors are to assist in all social functions and to create interest in military activities on the campus. ?The 1933-34 sponsors were: Annie Ross, regimental sponsor; Dorothy Thompson, senior sponsor; Maxine Cannon, junior sponsor; Lois Barrett, sophomore sponsor; and Kathleen Thomas, freshman sponsor. CADET OFFICERS ? The cadet officers are classmen, chosen by Major Gillespie and the reserve officers, to represent the unit during their two years as juniors and seniors. The juniors are all known as Third Lieutenants and the seniors rank from Second Lieutenants to cadet Colonel. ? This year's cadet officers were commended especially by Lieutenant Colonel Geary because of their demonstrated theoretical and practical ability with which they so successfully led the regiment to a height not attained for the past three years.
