Show To foster a more friendly feeling among the various organizations on the University of Utah Campus as well as to provide a means of working out the endless problems which are forever arising among and within the social groups, the Presidents' Club was reorganized this year to act as council to the president. The council, which was inactive for the past two years, as reorganized, is the only means of bringing all the societies on the campus together. Membership of the Council was composed of the presidents of the several fraternities, sororities and clubs on the campus. The student body president, Rudolph Larsen, acted as ex-officio chairman according to the re- quirements set forth by the A.S.U.U. Constitution. The council proved of invaluable service to the executive student officers serving in an advisory capacity to President Larsen. It also helped to formulate student projects such as the "Hello Week" ceremonies; and it made the indoor Greek circus possible. Furthermore, it proved to be one of the most worthwhile units of the university since it insured student cooperation by keeping the Executive Council in a position where it could feel the undergraduate pulse. Pauline Pingree served as president, while Blaine Campbell and Jay Broadbent acted as vice-president and secretary, respectively. Thirty-seven |
