Show man in the opening series of the season stimulated Utah's hopes, but a trip to Logan proved disastrous the next week when U.A.C. handed the Crimson a double defeat and sent B.Y.U. into a sizeable lead in the league. ? A "split" series with the Y Cougars at Salt Lake placed Utah in an uphill battle for season honors. By doubly defeating the vastly improved Bobcats in Salt Lake the Utes began the last half of the campaign with renewed hopes and intentions. Refusing to concede the Utes a chance for divisional supremacy, the Romneymen of Provo twice trounced the Redskins. ? With little left but a chance for a tie for second place, the plucky Utah U gained revenge on the AC Farmers and satisfied themselves with a tie for runner-up by annexing both games. ? Out of the current season's group only Aldo Richins, winner of the " '34 Ute" award is lost to next year's squad through graduation. With the championship B.Y.U. losing several stars the runner-up Utes should depend on a banner year coming up. ? A few dependably sensational reserves deserve considerable credit for their persistence and support during the season. Those deserving this praise are: Aldo Richins, Paul Callis, and Delmar Larsen. These men were practically on a par with the regulars-Ed Erekson, Harold Miller, Captain Kinner, Onan Mecham, and Sid Kramer. An impetus rather than a loss was usually felt with the injection of the subs in any game. ? With such an array of returning lettermen, Utah U hoop followers are not only hoping for, but are expecting, excellent results in the next season's scramble. First row: Fowler, fames. Miller, D.
