Show Utah 7 Ore. 26 At Eugene Nov. 4, 1933 ? Hayward Field - Coach Ike Armstrong's husky Ute gridsters took a decisive trimming, 7-26, at the hands of Coach Prink Callison's Webfoots. Oregon U retained its honor of being the only undefeated, untied team in the Pacific Coast conference. ?Oregon's homecoming crowd of nearly 9000 saw the R.M.C. champs withstand the Ducks' best offerings during the first and third periods but falter in the other two cantos, when all the scoring was done. Utah's 7 points came in the final two minutes when a deftly executed pass from Cowley, who was behind Utah's 20-yard stripe, spun to the vicinity of Joe Rin-aldi, who grabbed it from between two Oregonians and doggedly wove through a broken field for 52 yards and a score. ? Sid Kramer's constant driving together with his and Captain Davies' defensive work were the worries of the Webfoots, if any. Innumerable second and third string subs performed for O. U. in the last half. Roberts center Reeves tackle Pomeroy halfback Richins halfback One Hundred Eighty-six |
