Proving ill-fate had much to do with the Utah defeat by B.Y.U., the Utes resumed form and subdued the U.A.C. squad 97-48-the eighth time in nine years. ? Thornley and Ostler, both Utes, broke state records. Thornley threw the javelin 193.4 feet and Ostler swung the hammer a few inches over the old record for 151.7 feet. "In the 440, Jeppson, Anderson, and Adams took the first three places while Daughters and Smith won 8 points in the 880. Captain Goldstein captured 11V4 points as in the "Y" meet. ? Dansie and Richins contributed greatly to the Utah point list with 11 points and 6V4 respectively. ? Strom and Grosso won first place honors in the low hurdles and discus, respectively. ?
