Show COMMISSION OF CONTROL ? The duty of the Commission of Control is to regulate, and at all times to maintain, the highest standards of student conduct in its various phases on the campus. ? With the commission, more familiarly known as the Vigilantes, lies the responsibility for the enforcement of all the school regulations as embodied in the constitution and by-laws. It is its task, furthermore, to supervise all exhibitions of inter-class rivalry. ? The Commission of Control is under the surveillance of the Executive Council, the highest and the most important branch of student government in the university. The Vigilantes are obliged to refer all infractions of rules to Watts Fisher Carlston Morgan Ross Haymond Rosen Brown this body. It is within the power of the Executive Council to provide suitable punishment for students who at any time violate the school code of laws. ? Members of the Vigilantes receive their appointments from the second vice-president of the student body, who, in turn, acts as chairman of the group. The Executive Council, however, must first approve all appointments made by the vice-president. ? Members of the Commission were: Blaine Watts, chairman; Paul Sullivan, chief commissioner; Eldon Morgan, John Stephens, Ray Fisher, Earl Ross, Rock Kirk-ham, Peter Carlston, William Haymond, Holman Waters, Ralph Brown.
