Show Graduating Trackmen 1934 Squad ? When the tape is broken in the mile relay event in the conference track meet which is held at Denver this year, seven of Armstrong's better trackmen will be placed on the graduated list. These men are Herman Goldstein, Ed Jeppson, Freddy Hartenstein, Bert Sheffield, Frank Hodge, A1 d o Richins, and "Hack" Davies. ?This loss will be detrimental to the '35 squad unless these graduating men can be replaced-a job which should prove to be most difficult. ? Goldstein, captain of this year's squad, has the best record of any man on the team. He earned his fourth sweater this year. ?Jeppson, Hartenstein, and Sheffield, all excellent quarter-milers, will be hard to replace in the dash and in the relay. ?Richins, broad jumper, won his fourth letter this year. Hodge and Davies of the pole vault and javelin have been point winners in the last three conference meets. Anderson Sprints Call Pole Vault Wiley Two Mile Grames Weights Two Hundred Six |
