Show lThe Utah ChronicleFirst Year as a Semi-weeklyIMBUED with the idea that the college newspaper plays a really vital roll, that it should be in a big measure the moulder of student opinion, the indicator of student ideals and thought, and the leader in student body progress, and realizing that conditions at the University of Utah deserved, in fact, demanded, a big forward step in the realm of journalism the management of the 1912-13 Chronicle converted the paper into a semi-weekly of a decidedly newspaper nature. With an efficient staff striving to live up to high journalistic ideals, and with the news and thought of a wonderfully rich and progressive year to chronicle, the paper has prospered through an apparently effective and popular career.The change has been effected with the ultimate goal a high-class daily.
