Students from a.l classes numbering- sixty or slightly over, amassed around the stone. The Prexy spoke a few clear-cut, intelligible phrases and announced Rev. Elmer I. Jones to open with prayer. With uncovered and bowed heads the mighty throng await the prayer. Intense silence! Finally the Prexy nudging Rev. Goshen says: "Go on! Go ahead!" The Rev. Goshen in blank surprise gasps: "I?" "Yes, yes; go on; go on. Didn't you hear me?" the Prexy answers with phenomenal coolness. By this time some of the more widely-read birds in front had fallen to the situation and set the Prexy right. Then after a brief-(also intelligible)-explanation and an extremely careful pronunciation of Rev. Elmer I.
