SUMMIT- Leaving Bitter Creek waters, pass up a gentle slope to summit. HAT- STACK- A beacon 120 feet high, of clay, standing apart from larger plateaus on the south and east. SPRINGS- Camp No. 16- Alkaline water; head of Bridger's Fork. This water is barely drinkable for man or beast. Sage- brush furnishes the fuel, and grass very thin.
