Show SOlJTHERN DISTRICT BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S CLUBS MINUTES OF THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT B.P.W. SPRING CONFERENCE HELD APRIL 30, 1977, AT THE PONDEROSA CAFE IN BEAVER, UTAH The Southern B.P.W. District held their spring convention and installation meeting Saturday, April 30, 1977 at the Ponderosa Cafe at 6:00 P.M. District Director Ann Marshall Helen Christiansen read was in charge. the Collect. Ann introduced State Officers Madeleine Parker, Gretta Bauer, Kathryn Putnam, Mary Blundell, Karla Hulet, Virginia Blomerth and Darla Clark. David Christiansen favored the group with two songs, accompanying himself guitar. on the Susan Gardner, of Cedar City, last year's career girl, introduced the four career girls that were competing this year: DiAnn Houston from the Panguitch Club her subject was "Transitions in Womens World"; Barbara Cowley, of Cedar City her subject was "Responsibilities of Woman in the Business World"; Janet Bradshaw, Beaver Club her subject was "Responsibility, the Aging Woman in her Society; Ramona Oyler, Richfield Club her subject was "Woman in Business, A Big Business." - - - - The judges were Julie Osborn, Ramona chosen Oyler was selected as as alternate.
