Show 1966 SPRING CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT B. Po W. CLUBS Spring Conference of the Southern District B P. W. Clubs convened at the Flying M Cafe in Panguitch, Utah, on Saturday, Ap ril 16, 1966 at 7: 30 p. m. The . District Director Edna Sargent welcomed those present. The pledge of allegiance led by Tennis Houston, and the Club Collect was given by Iva Cline, both was members of the hostess club. During dinner, members were entertained by "I Love Life" and "Out of My Dreams." Riggs, who rendered two vocal solos She was accompanied by Hope Truman. Director Edna then introduced the following club pre sidents, A state, and district officers seated at the head table: Club Presidents - Fern Burbidge, Milford; Fay Lynn, Panguitch; Fern Williams, Beaver; Kathryn Brewer, Zion; and Catherine Crichton, Cedar City. State Officers Joyce Frisby, President; - Anne Kidd, 1st Vice-President; Jean Fox, Corresponding Secretary. District Youth Power USA Chairman, 2nd Vice-President; and Elva Pierson, Secretary-Treasurer Karla Hulet, Ada D. Carpenter. and District Director Edna noted that Blanche Dotson, Vice-Director, had been ill and was excused. It was announced that no names had been submitted for the district entry for Young Career Girl for Utah, but that nominations could still be made directly to the state chairman Presidents prior to the opening of state convention. were called on to make a report of their club activities for the year, and spoke in this order: Beaver, Cedar City, Milford, Panguitch, and Zion. They reminded the clubs of reports due, National Convention, and encouraged attendance at State Convention in May.
