Frank Sangu111etti, be associated with the 10,000 square foot exhibition wing added to the new museum_build111g. The wing's eight exhibition gallen es will host thousands of students and 111.useum patrons each year, and the facility will also 111clude a research library and study center for detailed exanunation of the museum s collection by scholars and students. The gallen es will house the museum s collection of decorative arts, as well as Its Asian collection, both areas of particular 111terest to M rs. Eccles. The nam111g of the new w111g pays tribute not only to M rs. Eccles' last111g contnbutions to the fine arts 111 Utah , but also to the endunng fnendsh1p between Mrs. Eccles and Mr. Sangu111ett1. They were confidants for more than 20 years until Mrs. Eccles' pass111g 111 1994 shanng a common love of the visual arts. Upon heanng the news of a $2 million grant from the George S. and D olores D ore Eccles Foundation for the exhibition w111g, Mr. Sangu111etti remarked that he was "deeply touched and honored that our fnendship will be recogruzed 111 this very special way 'Lobe' Eccles was one of Utah s great ladies.
