Show Winter/Spring Training Schedule for All Docents Beginnmg the first week in February, all teams will report on their usual Team Day at 9:30 a.m. We will continue meeting for trammg in the new building until the UMFA officially opens to the public m late May February 5, 9:30 a.m. - noon >- Monday Team >- Tuesday Team February 6, 9:30 a.m. - noon >- Wednesday Team February 7, 9:30 a.m. - noon >- Thursday Team February 8, 9:30 a.m. - noon February 9, 9·30 a.m. - noon >- Friday Team This trainmg period is vital if we are to effectively use the new exhibition spaces and the expanded number of art works that will be on view. We w1U be working with the collections to: learn more about works that we have used before learn about new works lyam from each other share what we know with our "team-mates" * * * * I encourage all docents to come to these sessions since Virginia will be training for Images and Words and Rebecca for the Fall PA R1rners program. The traming we will be doing during this period is critical to your ability to use our new space and the new art works. So, come prepared to share your skills, know ledge and expertise and to learn from other docents. As we brainstorm new ideas and share techmques we have been using, I will be taking notes and recording all of your creative ideas. Each team's contributions will be compiled into an Ideas Book to be shared with the other teams. I was mspired to do this by the many comments from docents about how they wish they knew what other Daily Teams were domg. Utah Art Education Association The UAEA's annual conference will be held in St. George, UT on February 23 and 24th. This is a great opportumty to learn more about teachmg art and art history.
