Show SAVE THESE DATES!!! • DOCENT MEETING OPENING of DESIGNER BOOKBINDERS EXHIBITION October 4, 2000 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Stephen Conway, an accomplished bookbmder, will speak at 7:00 p.m. m the Marriott Library's Gould Auditonum. A reception will follow at the UMFA. A change of date and venue are planned for this month's meetmg. On October 19 we will be exploring the wide range of art-related stores m the Sugarhouse area. A map and list of the stores who have agreed to greet us will be put into your mailboxes m early October. The focus will be on our collect10ns with Just enough art history to put the works of art mto a cultural and historical context. A complete hst of the topics will be posted on the Docent Bulletin Board. SEMINARS Smee we anticipated movmg our offices mto the new bmldmg sometime dunng January 2001 we are not scheduling any docent events dunng this month. This could change as the dates for the move are scheduled • Each of us will be responsible for gettmg to Sugarhouse. Please contact your Daily Team Leaders 1f you are willmg to car pool, either as a passenger or as a driver. • THIRD SATURDAY OCTOBER21 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The last of Third Saturday's in the old UMFA will be held on October 21st. Come to the Utah Museum of Fine Arts to see the fabnc art quilts of Faith Rmggold then make a qmlt of your own that tells a story about yourself Faith Ringgold uses fabnc, paint, and words to tell powerful stones.
