Show 5 1 tenance, or additional development of project lands or facili- 2 ties or to dispose of project lands or facilities to State or 3 local agencies or other public entities by lease, transfer, ex- 4 change or conveyance, upon such terms and conditions as 5 will best promote their development and operation in the 6 public interest for recreation purposes. The costs of the 7 undertakings described in this section, including costs of 8 investigation, planning, operation, and maintenance and 9 an appropriate share of the joint costs of the Dixie proj- 10 ect, shall be nonreimbursable. 11 (b) The Secretary may make such reasonable provi- 12 sion in connection with the Dixie project as, upon further 13 study in accordance with section 2 of the Fish and Wildlife 14 Coordination Act (48 Stat. 401, as amended; 16 U.S.C. 15 661, 662), he finds to be required for the conservation and 16 development of fish and wildlife. An appropriate por- 17 tion of the cost of the development shall be allocated as 18 provided in said Act and it, together with the Federal op- 19 eration and maintenance costs allocated to this function, 20 shall be nonreimbursable and nonreturnable under the rec- 21 lamation laws. 22 SEC. 7. The use of all water diverted for this project 23 from the Colorado River system shall be subject to and con- 24 trolled by the Colorado River compact, the Boulder Can- 25 yon Project Act (45 Stat. 1057; 43 U.S.C. 617t), and the |
