Main Cedar City, Utah 307 East 1st South Pleasant Grove, Utah May 1, 1963 Jay Bingham, Executive Director Utah Water and Power Board State Capitol Building Salt Lake City, Utah Dear Jay: The Directors of the Utah Association of Soil Conservation Districts are in favor of the Dixie Project in southwestern Utah. In this section of the State, local soil conservation districts have had an active conservation program and have a high percentage of water conservation measures, such as land leveling and ditch lining, completed. The area has a favorable climate but a great need for additional water. Crops grown in this area are not crops in surplus. The Dixie Project would be very beneficial in improving the economy of this portion of the state. We heartily support this project. Sincerely yours, Leo P. Harvey, President, Utah Association of Soil Conservation Districts |
