ATELORNIS PITTOIDES. Atelornis pittoides (Lafr.); Hartl. Orn. Madag. p. 29 (1861); Roch & E. Newton, Ibis, 1862, p. 271; E. Newt. Ibis, 1863, p. 341. Brachypteracias pittoides, Grand. Rev. et Mag. de Zool. 1867, p. 354. "Nossi Vola and Saralalan. Native name Vorum Seak. Iris brown. Quite local." Mr. Crossley has sent several specimens of this rare bird. I shall reserve my remarks on this species for a paper I am now preparing on the African Coraciadee, which will very shortly be ready. Fam. ALCEDINIDAE. 28. CORYTHORNIS CRISTATA. ISPIDINA MADAGASCARIENSIS. Ispidina madagascariensis (Linn.); Sharpe, Monogr. Ale. pt. (1869). Dacelo madagascariensis, Grand. Rev. et Mag. de Zool. 1867, p. 354. "Nossi Vola, November 13th, 1869.
