A I worked in and out of there for a long time; I took in Robert Stanton's stuff, hauled his supplies in. Q Did you haul a drill and lumber and supplies for Mr. Stanton? A Yes sir? Q About what year was that, if you recall? A That was 1899. Q Where did you take that to the river? A Dandy crossing was our river point, the same place. Q do you know where that outfit, the drill, to see it my own self personally, we just above Cape Hoen and the mouth of Four- mile canyon; that is where I last seen the drill. Q How did you get the drill and machinery and supplies down to the first place where the drill was installed, how were they gotten down, rather? A They had a barge, made a big barge especially to put it on, and the supplies; they went down the river and drilled |
