FARNSWORTH: Q Did you build the rafts and boats you used for carry-ing your supplies and equipment down by boat? A No, they was built by this party that was putting in the plant there; I hauled the lumber and timber there; they made the rafts; they put our hay and grain and stuff on. Q How large a raft was that? A Oh, it might have been maybe twenty or twenty- five feet by about sixteen or seventeen. Q How much of a load did it carry down that first trip? A Let's see, there was four loads of hay, must have been -- oh, between six and eight tons, I would say. Q How long did it take you to complete that job of building that race? A I was there a little over two months, I think, if I remember right; then they put me out to get timber, piling, and so forth, to finish the race, to set the wheel on, the timbers.
