Any objection? MR. BLACKMAR: Not to the copy. MR. FARNSWORTH: I would like not ti mark the original. MR. BLACKMAR: That part is all right. ( Defendant's exhibit No. 27 was thereupon marked by the reporter.) THE SPECIAL MASTER: Who made the copy? MR. FARNSWORTH: th copy was made in my office, and compared by Mr. Hilton and one of my stenographers. By way of explanation I may say that the Exhibit 27 is a compared copy of the original diary of Mrs. Lottie J. Baldwin, and in copying the entries they come down on one column, then up to the first entry on the second column, and down. There are two columns on each page. MR. BLACKMAR; May I see the copy? MR. FARNSWORTH: Yes. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q I show you a note book with lead pencil writing in it, and ask you if you recognize that book and that handwriting? A Yes sir; this is my mother's diary that I spoke of. Q Is that in her handwriting? A Yes sir. |
