Pureet dilute ccerulescenii-cinerea, fronte albicante; subtus dilutior, mento, gula et abdomine medio albioribus; rectricibus unicoloribus cinereis, scapisfuscis; remigibus 1. et 2. eoclemmodo piclis, 3--8. in dimidio basalipogonii externi leete aurantiaco-fulvis; tectricibus alarum dorso concoloribus; subalaribus sericeo-albis isabellino lavatis; subcaudalibus canis; rostro nigro, pedibus pallidis (6 et 9 ) . rf 2 millim. millim. The curious orange-yellow markings of the wing contrast strikingly with the fine light grey of the upper parts. The colour of the tail-arid wing-feathers is a pale obsolete brown strongly shaded with bluish grey; lores and the small feathers round the eye white ; vent with a very faint fulvous shade. The systematic position of this elegant form is also with the Malurince, Sundev. 5. MUSCICAPA INFULATA, n. sp. Supra saturate et pure fusca, remigibus et rectricibus concoloribus, tectricibus et remigibus tertiariis indistincte palUdius marginatis; gula et abdomine pure albis, pectore ct hypochondriis dilutius fusco adumbratis; subcaudalibus albis; subalaribus fulvo fuscoque variegatis; remigibus in interno margine pallentibus; rostro ct pedibus nigris; vibrissee satis elongatee sed tenues (3 ct 2)- millim. millim. Long, tota circa 123 123 ,, rostri a fr 12 12 „ alae 67 67 „ caudae 49 51 ,, tarsi 15 15 Typical. A short and compact little bird, and, I think, undescribed. It is allied to Levaillant's l'Ondule (Muscicapa fuscula, Suncl). The principal colour of the upper parts is a deep rich brown. The uppermost part of the chin has a faint brownish shade. |
