It differs from the scattered through the Otostigmus politus dentatus foregoing variety in that this variety New p. 150. Variety black-green pigments is without body. It differs from other members of O. medial tooth of presternal femur. - politus in that this variety has two elevatipns on the Locality: Philippine Islands. Type: one specimen (P. I. No. 280). Locality: Los Banos (C. F. Baker; P. I. No. 281). Length 23 mm.; antennae with 22 joints, two naked, extending over the sixth tergites, 6 mm. in length; 5 + 5 presternal teeth; coxal pores 1 to 6 + 2 in caudad, 7 to 15 in cephalad, outer most 23, innermost 29, while 23 in middle. Attems said that this species is hardly to be distinguished from Otostigmus insularis Haase. I think they would be well separated in the following ways: (1) tergite from fifth on with seven fine rough Iongitudinal keels in malayanus, while tergites from the seventh have nine longi tudinal keels and granules between those in insularis; (2) malayanus has tergites margined from the third tergite, while insularis from the fifth and sixth tergite; (3) malayanus has the coxo-pleural process 4-pointed, while insularis has the process only 1 to 3 pointed; (4) malayanus is without tarsal spine on the twentieth pair of legs, and 1-15 pairs of legs with two tarsal spines; in insularis the twentieth pair of legs with one tarsal spine, and 1-18 pairs of legs with two tarsal spines; (5) the prefemur of toxicognaths in malayanus with two eleva tions but that of insularis without these; (6) color and size. 22. 1914 23.
