The genus castanotheroides bas been found as yet only In genus the Sphaeropoeus Philippine tanotherium the is Islands which is also the is represented with 11 Ca In with the genus Luzonospbaera. Tbe genus. in Celebes, 5 species in Borneo and 2 specIes case species Philippines. The region. There is Islands Palaearctic region and the Indomalayan sub with one species in the Philippine genus, Zygethomeris represented, family Glomeridae as well as one is distributed over the in Bo neo. ' Ethiopian, Neotropical and Oriental regions. family stylodeslIllda'e is spread Islands. Its genus one with species each in Java and the Philippine Lophodesmus is represented The family Vanhoeffeniidae is dispersed over the Ethiopian and the Holarctic regions. Its genus Cylindrodesmus has one species in the philippines and one in Java. The family Strongylosomidae is spread over the Palaearctic, Neotropic, Ethiopian, .Aus tralian and Oriental regions. Three genera, .g. strongylosoma, Orthomorpha and Pr'fono peltis are represented in this fauna. Tbe genus Strongylosoma is dispersed over the Palae arctic, the Australian and the Oriental regions: 8 species occurring in New Guinea; 6 in Cele bes; 4 in Sumatra; 2 each in India, Malay, Borneo, Ceylon and the Philippine Islands; 1 each in Burma, China and Japan. The genus Orthomorpha is widely distributed over the Oriental and Australian regions: 10 species occur in Burma; 8 species each in India and Java; 7 species in Borneo; 6 in Annam; 4 each in China, in Ceylon and in New Guinea; 3 each in Sumatra, Malay, Riu-Kiu Island and the Philippine Islands; 2 each in Celebes and in Japan. The genus Priono peltis is spread over the lndomalayan subregion: 3 species each in Java and the Philippine Islands; 2 in Burma; 1 each in India, Borneo, Ceylon and Celebes. The family Platyrhachidae is distributed over the Neotropical and the Oriental regions. One genus, Platyrhacus, is represented in the Philippine Islands with 7 species. Genus Platyrhacus is a large genus and also occurs over other Indomalayan and the Indoaustralian subregions: 21 species are recorded from New Guinea, 14 .from Borneo, 13 from Sumatra, 4 from Celebes, 2 each from Annam and the Sunda Islands, and one each from Malay and India. The family Spirobolidae is dispersed in the Holarctic, the Neotropical, the Indomalayan and the Australian regions and subregions. One genus, Spirobolus, is represented by 7 species in the Philippine fauna and it is distributed also in the Holarctic and Oriental regions. Thus, 13 species occur in Ceylon, 5 in Borneo, 2 each in New Guinea and Burna, 1 each in the East Indies The over the and Annam. The family Rhinocridae, although having numerous members dispersed over the Neotropical and Austro- Malayan regions, had no member previously recorded from the Philippine Islands. However, in the Chamberlin Collection, I find the genus of Acladocricus represented by 4 species pertaining to the Philippine fauna. The family Atopetholidae, created by Dr. Chamberlin in 1918, was originally based on two to which have been added also the genera Onychelus, Hesperolus, genera, Eurelus, Gostchelus, Anelus, Tidolus, Toltecolus and Tarascolus. These genera are all found in North America and Mexico only. But among the specimens in the collection from the Philip Atoptholus and pines studied by me, I find a new genus with one species, Banosolus Philippinus, which belongs to this family. The distribution of this genus to other oriental regions is yet unknown. Further discoveries either in zoogeography or in taxonomy of this family may be expected. The family Trigoniulidae is widely distributed over the Ethiopian, the Neotropical, the Indo australian and regions and subregions. Four genera, Trigoniulus, pokaDlostrophus, Malaya and Varfulus The genus Tngoniulus occurs are found in the Philippine Islands. Spirostrophus over the Ethiopian and the Oriental regions: 11 species in New Guinea; 6 species With three varieties in the Philippine Islands; 5 in Borneo; 2 each in Sunda Islands, Celebes, SUmatra and Formosa; 1 each in Annam and Java.
