Show [9] ITEM 2 (4-074.) DESERT-LAND ACT OF MARCH 3, 1877, AS AMENDED BY ACT OF MARCH 3, 1891. AFFIDAVIT OF WITNESS No. 1253 LAND OFFICE AT LOS ANGELES, CAL. Sept. 25, 1900 I, L. M. Holt, of (city) Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, being duly sworn, declare upon oath: That I am a resident of Los Angeles, Cal. of the age of 60 and by occupation a Journalist; that my post-office address is 640 So. Olive St., Los Angeles; that I am well acquainted with the character of each and every legal subdivision of the following described land embraced in the declaration of John M. Reuck, viz: the E y2 NW Y^ and NE % of Sec. 19, and W ]/2 NW % of Section No. 20, Township No. 15 South, Range No. 14 East, S.B.M., containing 320 acres; that I became acquainted with said land by a personal examination of each and every legal subdivision thereof; that I have been acquainted with it for one years last past; that I have frequently passed over it; that my knowledge of said land is such as to enable me to testify understand-ingly concerning it; that the same is desert land within the meaning of the second section of the act of Congress |
