This affidavit can be made only upon applicant's personal knowledge, and from his own personal examination of the land, and must be subscribed and sworn to by the Register and Receiver of the land district in which the land is situated, or before the Judge or Clerk of a Court of record of the county in which the lands are situated, or any Commissioner of the United States circuit court having jurisdiction over the county in which the land is situated. DESERT-LAND ACT OF MARCH 3, 1877, AS AMENDED BY ACT OF MARCH 3, 1891. DECLARATION OF APPLICANT No. 1253 UNITED STATES LAND OFFICE, LOS ANGELES, CAL. September 25, 1900 I, John M. Reuck, of (city) Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, being duly sworn, on oath depose and declare: That I am a native born citizen* of the United States, of the age of 41 years, and a resident of California, and by occupation a Broker; that my post-office address is 404 Bradbury Bldg., Los Angeles; that I intend to reclaim a tract of desert land not exceeding one-half section, or 320 acres, by conducting water upon the same within four years from date of entry, in manner as required by the act of Congress |
