Show [4] Township Fourteen (14), S Range Thirteen (13) E S. B. Meridian, containing Eighty (80) acres, situated in Imperial County, California, within the Los Angeles (County and State.) land district. I further depose and declare that I have made no other declaration for desert lands nor any other entry under the provisions of said act, nor have I had assigned to me any lands entered under said act; that since August 30, 1890, I have not entered and acquired title to, nor am I now claiming, under an entry made under any of the nonmineral public-land laws, an amount of land which, together with the land now applied for, will exceed in the aggregate 320 acres*; that the land above described borders on None and that there is through or (State what stream or body of water and describe the same.) upon said land None; that said land is not naturally irri- (Name and describe all water courses, springs, or other bodies of water.) gated or watered, nor overflowed at any season of the year by the foregoing or any other natural stream, spring, or other body of water; that I expect to obtain my water supply to irrigate said land from Imperial Irrigation District; that the character of the soil is sandy; that said land will not, without artificial irrigation, produce an agricultural crop of any kind in amount reasonably remunerative, and that it will not, when unfed by grazing animals, produce native grasses sufficient in quantity to make an ordinary crop of hay in usual seasons; that there are no trees on said land; that the same is essentially dry and arid land, wholly unfit for Posted luly 19/26-203/4-HNC-Div. "O" Aug. 5, 1926. *One who has made an enlarged homestead entry may, if otherwise qualified, make a desert land entry, provided the combined area to be acquired under the enlarged homestead and desert land laws shall not exceed 480 acres, Act of February 27, 1917 (39 Stat, 946). |
