Show [139] ITEM 29 STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ) ) ss. County of Los Angeles. ) C. R. Rockwood, being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is the Superintendent and Chief Engineer of The California Development Company, of the Imperial Land company, of La Sociedad de Yrrigacion y Ter-renos de la Baja California (Sociedad Anonima), and also the Engineer of Imperial Water Company No. 1; that as such Superintendent and Engineer he has supervision and control of the construction and maintenance of all the canals, irrigating ditches and other water conduits constructed, operated and maintained by each and all of the above named corporations; that the annexed map No. 1 correctly and truly delineates and shows the lines, curves, directions, dimensions and capacities of the several canals shown thereon, and that the canals shown thereon are actually constructed and are now in use for the purpose of carrying water from the Colorado River in San Diego County, California, to the several tracts of land as shown on said map connected with said canals by the several laterals and distributing canals leading therefrom; that the main diverting canal connects with the Colorado River at a point in the South West Quarter of Section 25, Township Sixteen South, Range Twenty-one East, of San Bernardino Base and Meridian, being a point on the West bank of the Colorado River in San Diego County, California, about one and one fourth miles up the river from the point where the International |
