Show r%r iASCEMembers of the American Society of Civil Engineers, ASCE, could be distinguished from other students on campus once this year by the unusual number and kinds of beards they wore . . . this society was responsible for the successful Engy Stew which included a beard growing and story-telling contest plus oyster stew for all the engineers on campus . . . the purpose of this organization, besides promoting social activities for the members, was to stimulate interest in the field of civil engineering and to form a bond among civil engineers.Class Officers, left to right, Dick Bassett, Vice President; H.
