Show J. Bracken Lee, controversial governor of the State of Utah, is much admired and much maligned. Dedicated to the proposition that there shall be no waste in government, Governor Lee has slashed expenditures, lowered budgets and appropriations, and consequently reduced taxes. Among his fellow governors, he is ranked as one of the best; among sportsmen, he's considered an expert trapshooter; among his voters-well, they re-elected him, didn't they?Governor J. Bracken LeePresident A. Ray OlpinAn able, affable, much-loved man, President A. Ray Olpin always has a ready smile, a cheery "Hello," and a warm handshake for everyone he meets. As an embassador for democracy and free enterprise, our capable president traveled the whole world 'round making new friends for democracy, the United States, and the University of Utah. He's fond of relating that he had to re-learn the English language to speak to New Zea-landers, and that he spent a miserable 24 hours grounded midst the oppressive heat and insects of Southern Iraq. |
