For in addition to having the entire squad returning and a freshman team that was "loaded," three fellows named Bunte, Berner, and Bergen were causing quite a stir. With these transfers, a whole squad of returning lettermen, and some top freshman talent, places on the 1955 Utah basketball team were already at a premium.Only seniors in 1955 would be Roger Tonnesen, Alden Lewis, Bob Fulton, Eddie Pepple, and Cal Drecksel. Returning juniors vieing for spots would include Pete Dow, Morris Buckwalter, Bill Maxwell, Gaylan Moffitt, Steve Heiner, Gordon Jensen, Bob Simmons, Harold Snow, and George Souvall.Basketball, Gardner-version, had established a formidable reputation at Uteville.
