Show Contrary to popular opinion, a bank roll and Cadillac convertible aren't prerequisites to becoming a fraternity man . . . for high ideals are held by every fraternity and pledges are expected to live up to them in order to become a "brother" to active members . . . they prove their loyalty, intelligence, friendship and courage through such things as pledge duties, eight-hour-long national pledge tests, early-morning song practices, work parties, house re-decorating . . . and after "going active" the work isn't over for an affiliated man-now it's up to him to keep the ball rolling, keep the rushees coming, take over officer duties, plan exchanges, skits and write lyrics for Song Fest.
