Yes . . . she does, too.If rushees weren't connoisseurs of good mannersand fine foods by the time they pledged . . .if wasn't the fault of the fraternities.The Bull Session . . . where you really get toknow the guys . . . but, are these guys reallytalking or just posing for a picture?For a long time the hotbed of factional splits and howls over infractions and politics, IFC problems reached a climax with the argument over Greek vs. Independent competition. Elimination of independents from competition with the Greeks or withdrawal of fraternity support were the options that faced the council. Students knew what the results were as sororities entered Snow Carnival alone. Regardless of these tense moments, Parry Hagen, assisted by Dean John L. Ballif, led the council through a highly successful year while co-ordinating fraternity activities, handling rushing problems,and seeing that the playboys behaved themselves.92 |
