Show Loaded with responsibilities, the ATHLETIC COUNCIL is not an idle group. Schedules and expenditures for intercollegiate and intramural athletics are their special charge, but the equally difficult job of appointing all athletic department personnel is also under their jurisdiction. Serving as members of the council are T. S. Parmelee, L. David Hiner, President A. Ray Olpin, Jack Curtice, Harold H. Cutler, James L. Jack, Stephen D. Durrant, H. Bowman Hawkes, Thor-ton D. Morris, Paul McDonough, N. P. Nielson, Leon D. Garrett, Bill Madsen, John Knight and Parry D. Sorensen.*¦:.-¦.VBy means of applications and interviews, the PUBLICATIONS COUNCIL appoints editors, associate editors and business managers for all campus publications, and approves staffs. Although rules and regulations are set up for the staffs, no censoring is done by committee members T. S. Parmelee, Quintus C. Wilson, Parry D. Sorensen, and L. H. Kirkpatrick, before publication. Utonian sales, the shaky situation of the Pen, and grumblings from various departments for lack of publicity for their respective fields are samples of the headaches the council must cope with and solve. Robert Amott, Gerry Ernstrom, and Robert Hales, student members, were absent when picture was taken. |
