Phil had complete charge of the sports page, including layout, heads, assigning beats and interviewing . . . Elaine's job covered about the same duties for the third page of features . . . and Colleen worked as "right-hand woman" to Reed and Andy - billing ads, filing, making out payrolls and taking care of the Chronicle's correspondence.40 |
