Show Union Committees Special speakers, talent, art displays, and other facets of Union life were sponsored by fifteen Union Committees. Any member of the student body could join these groups in planning programs. The Student Union was designed with a variety of facilities that would appeal to all students. It was through the committees that effective use was made of the Union. Programs this year included receptions for visitors, weekly movies with the controversial "shorts," and the ever popular bridge tournaments. One of the novel programs this year, Spotlight, presented year round displays on the South. Mutual interests drew the com-mitteemen together in planning the activities that made our Union a functional center.
