Show ASUU Committee Chairmen Coordinating elections, homecoming, and eligibility were the fourteen chairmen of ASUU committees. Under the guidance of the combined chairmen, the individual committees affected activities for the entire student body. Their many accomplishments included a handbook (indispensable to freshmen) and a full agenda of social life for married students. Other groups helped foreign students become an integral part of the U of U. Challenge provided thought-provoking speakers, and CCUN supported the UN on campus. Young leaders emerged from Leadership Committee, and the traditional U Days was organized by the U Days Committee. Rounding out student activities was the Student Participation Committee. Coordinating activities for the ASUU committees were (front row) Dick Abbott, Raymond Lowe, Kate Kirkham, Bob McQueen, (row 2) Jim Adamson, Ric McDonald, Lee Bishop, Kent Boyd, Donald McCauley, Lizz Boyd, Shauna Holland, Wally Boyack, Ron Hammer, Norman Hicks, and Clint Gurney. 54 |
