Show Born in Cedar City, Utah, Robert Gail Hunter spent the first 12 years of his life in Utah, but his formative years in California - this gives Rob an excuse for all his behavior! Robert graduated from Bonita High School in San Diego, California, where he played golf, baseball, and basketball. Robert saw the light eventually, and returned to Utah where he made the mistake of attending "BYU" for two years. However, good things do come out of bad: He met his future wife, Karin Spratling while at the "Y". The day after they were married Robert said, "Get me the hell (heck) out-of-here," (refering of course, to the "Y")! He transfered to THE University of Utah, and graduated with a BS in Biology, and came straight to the University of Utah School of Medicine, leaving Harvard and Johns Hopkins crying into their used guaiac cards. Robert's most memorable experience in Medical School was the opportunity he had to instigate an acute psychotic reaction ln his favorite intern3I medicine resident, after paging her to the ER! (ask him for the details). Robert's idea of a good day on internal medicine: One that ended at 10:30 am, with a tee time at the Bountiful Golf Course at 11 :00 am. Robert's idea of a good senior elective: one that ended at 12:00 pm so he could hit the slopes at 12:30 pm, or take off snowmobiling. His career goals are Pediatric Gynecological surgery in an academic setting - just kidding Robert! He really plans to pursue Thoracic Surgery, most likely in an aca· demic setting. Wherever Robert ends up, the community will definitely benefit from his skills, knowledge, and compassion! Robert feels like he owes his success in medical school to his wife, whose past times include personalizing license plates (MD TO BE), and his daughter who thinks MD doesn't stand for Minor Diety but My Daddy! MY DADDY When Daddy signs his name he will always write MD Thats so people all well know that he belongs to me ROBERT HUNTER For MD means "My Daddy" or something just the same. And that is why he always will put the letters on his name. Some letters in his name are small But these will not be you see He will always make them Big like that Because he's proud of ME 46 |
