Show "It's hard to believe that 4 years .have passed and graduation is here. I am grateful to have been able to meet and associate with you, my classmates, and want to wish each of you the best in your future endeavors." Ron Anderson RON ANDERSON Editor's Note: In addition to above sentiments, Ron left us the following personal statement, uncensored: "Born and Reared in Provo, Utah, (Ed. note· that's not Ron's fault) Ron grew up using his hands with his brother and father in the family's basement machine shop. After building dune buggies and racing motorcycles in high school, he settled educationally and obtained Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University. (Ed. note· going to BYU was Ron's fault). Speaking fluently the languages of Mathematics, Mechanics, and Com-· puters, Ron is considered by Orthopedists to personify the merits of seeking diversity of background among medical school matriculants. His three years of work as a staff member with the Orthopedic Bioengineering Laboratory resulted in the computerization of gathering and the overall reduction of biomechanical test data, an extensive study of the mechanics of meniscal repair, and pilot research in biomaterials which lead to substantial funding. In his leisure time he enjoys running, hiking, boating, and adjusting bank accounts with his computer. Ron anticipates an exciting future as an orthopedist interested in technology and research." Yeah, we thought he sounded pretty smug, too, until our research showed that everything he said was true. Ron is a brilliant man with a well-hidden but terrific sense of humor, and should prove to be one of the better orthopods ever seen from Utah despite converting all his required bulk-lifting muscles into slow-twitch marathon runner muscle fibers.
