Show Jeff Baker is a white male married LDS Eagle Scout with two children who has progressed steadily and well through school, church, family development, and life. Such a success story is deceptively routine in our classmates from Southern Idaho, Utah, and remote corners of Las Vegas. Jeff, in fact, was born in Salt Lake City and calls Idaho Falls his home town. There, Jeff first showed that his future lay beyond his beginnings by never getting a job driving a potato truck. Instead, he climbed the success ladder, first attending Ricks College, then, after the dam broke, escaping to attend BYU. He graduated with a degree in Zoology. While at BYU, Jeff did some research with Dr. Ronald Urry on the effects of carnitine on sperm motility. After dabbling in microbiology and beginning fatherhood as an Aggie, Jeff returned to the valley to go to the U. of U. school of medicine. Jeff continued his pursuit of fertility, begun at BYU and USU, by doing research on prevention of recurrent abortion and having a second son. He also was selected for participation in the Ob·Gyn Honors program. Jeff, to no one's surprise, will become a very successful Ob·Gyn, especially if he pursues his fertility interests. Jess is married to Marcell, and they have two sons, Justin and Jordan. He is the class expert in houseplants and stained glass work. He has other hobbies, but they are the same as everyone else's. JEFF BAKER Son • Jordan Baker Editor's Note: Jeff was warned by this editor that, since none of us knew him very well personally, he might consider leaving us with a little more to work with than a CV. He said he trusted us (!). He should know better than that, and I am inclined to believe that he, like most of our class, has neither the time for or interest in coming up with any more HPl's than he has to. Or maybe he realizes that those of us who must put trust in a Gyn at least once a year have a natural aversion to making any of their number angry. It is safest to assume that every Gyn has a "grudge fridge" where he keeps a few instruments, just in case. Jeff would never do this, but a friend might. May we also add that Jeff is a very good sport, and not into revenge. It is only an unconfirmed rumor that he trained the winning team in the BYU Seminal Olympics of 1981. • Rm H Jeff and Family 10 Son • Justin Baker The Three Most Handsome, before a puzzled Jeff found out where the other two came from. l |
