Show Coffee Drinkers Preferred Page 17 of 307 Regardless of the mounting scientific evidence that shows that coffee reduces the risk of suffering from a dozen diseases, like diabetes to Parkinson's (diseases that my own non-coffee drinking state ranks very high in), my bishop would find me suddenly "unworthy" if I told him I drank it. I must always answer "yes" when he asks, "Have you been keeping the word of Wisdom?" But if I define the beverage that is in the cup that Steve hands me as say, Detective Drink, I'm okay. Steve was in front of his flat screens clicking on his keyboard; a cigarette smoldering next to him sent a snake of fumes up toward the ceiling. I made a quick glance to the right into the kitchen area. He had taken out those trash bags. It smelled a little better. The stink of cigarette smoke was never going to change..
