The lower facade has been altered and obtrusive aqua colored stucco has been added. The upper facade is separated from the lower by an arching ornamented cornice. About 1917 Ernest A Menlove moved his photography studio from a building at 256 West Center to this building. He had first established a studio in 1909, also handling novelties, 1912-1917. The Menlove studio continued operation for many ye.irs. After Menlove f s death (1926) Dixon-Taylor-Russell Furniture Co. expanded into this building. |
