Many clothing businesses have occupied the building. About 1928 Lorenzo A. Christensen built this building for his clothing company (Christensen Co.) which relocated from 154 West Center. In the early 1930s Christensen*s went out of business and the building remained vacant a few years. The Mose Lewis Co. (men's clothing) moved into the building. Leo Lewis, Mose r s brother, was operating Lewis Ladies Store in the building to the east (#64-68). Eventually Jean Hoover, who had managed the Lewis Co., established his own clothing business in the building. |
