In 1967 a concrete block addition was made to the rear. The central entrance has been reworked to be very recessed. This was one of the first commercial buildings built on the block-which had been residential« Arthur J* Durrant built the building in 1906 and moved his harness business into it. The business was continued by his brother John H.--becoming by 1917 J. H. Durrant Saddlery and Automobile Repair Co., which, by 1920, reflecting the changing times, had become the Durrant Auto Supply Co. |
