This back section was used as a warehouse for the Dixon-Taylor-Russell Co. The front of the building was section for three retail stores the facade rhythmicallindicating this with 3 off=center entrances flanked by display windows. The ways have been filled in. The roof is flat, but the facade is topped with a curcliniar cornice. The first tennats were the White Sewing Machine Co., the Singer Sewing Machine Co., the Elite Hat Shop. In the 1930s the building was remodeled to accommodate the Henry D. Taylor Co., real estate. Henry was also secretary/treasurer of the Dixon-Taylor-Russell Co. That company expanded into the west part of this building to use it as a warehouse, |
