During the 1930s the interior and the facade was altered to combine this building with the two buildings to the west in order to accommodate one business. According to tax records the building was remodeled in 1952, 1956, 1963 as various businesses occupied the building. In 1890 Sinus M. Duggins built the Diamond Saloon (#26). By 1906 Felix Bahcman had taken over the business. After 1910 the building housed other businesses. In 1921 F. W. Woolworth Co. (H. I. Johnson manager) remodeled and rebuilt the building to accommodate their business. Woolworth 1 s continued in the building for many years. In the late 1930s the company expanded into the two buildings to the west-remodeling all three to accommodate the one business. |
