Show fl, ??-^7 93D CONGRESS ) HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES f REPORT 2d Session j \ No. 93-796 WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974 FEBRUARY 13,1974.-Ordered to be printed Mr. ROBERTS, from the committee of conference, submitted the following CONFERENCE REPORT [To accompany H.R. 10203] The committee of conference on the-disagreeing votes of the two Houses on the amendment of the Senate to the bill (H.R. 10203) authorizing the construction, repair, and preservation of certain public works on rivers and harbors for navigation, flood control, and for other purposes, having met, after full and free conference, have agreed to recommend and do recommend to their respective Houses as follows: That the House recede from its disagreement to the amendment of the Senate and agree to the same withf an amendment as follows: In lieu of the matter proposed to be inserted by the Senate amendment insert the following: I "• • TITLE I-WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT Sec. 1. (a) The Secretary of the Army, a-cting through the Chief of Engineers, is hereby authorised to undertake the phase I design memorandum stage of advanced engineering and design of the following multi-purpose water resources development projects, substantially in accordance with, and subject to the conditions recommended by the Chief of Engineers in, the reports hereinafter designated. MIDDLE ATLANTIC COASTAL AREA The: project for hurricane-flood protection at Virginia Beach, Virginia^ House Document Numbered 92-365, at an estimated cost of $95^,000.... JAMES RIVER BA3IN The project for flood protection for the city of Buena Vista on the Maury River, Virginia: House Document Numbered 93-66,-at an estimated cost of $665,000. 99-006 |
